Please be aware that with the upcoming update of Linkinus you will have to adapt the style again as the whole style engine is due to change.

Doing anything with incoming text, e.g. triggering Scripts, is not possible right now.

I hope this makes the issue clearer.

Okeanos,
Colloquy has some an AppleScript that will do this; Simply parse the incoming message before showing it on screen. This way you can do a lot more before the user sees the text.
Hope this helps,
Clayton

I think we need a djay announcer script like an itunes announcer with certain options though...
It would cool if it could spam the song that is playing on a specific channel and have a trigger like !Song to let others know what you are playing. something like this /djay (display the song that is playing) /djay auto (display the song you are playing with each different song instead of doing it manually like an announcer but set to a specific channel) thanks if someone could make this happen

with kind regards hennyville

Thanks for that feedback. I am aware of those problems. I am working on a new version which should fix most, if not all of these problems.

Cheers

It Automatically sets the length of the style to the length of the biggest monitor, or maybe the primary monitor, I am in a dual monitor situation and need it to fit on my secondary monitor which is only 1280x800 compared to my main 1600x1200 monitor, it gets quit messy. I would change it to change res with re size. also, I would love support for large nicknames, which is not currently supported, only 8 char are being displayed as the nickname not even putting ... after it. Overall this is a great style and is in a close fight with campfire for my main style if it weren't for the flaws I indicated here.
Thanks,
Clayton (iBook)
