• Global command for bringing the application to the front, while showing the first chatroom in the list, that has unread messages. The command should of course be costumizeable. Adium does this quite well.
• An invisible line between the nicknames of people, and the actual message that they write. Also, nicknames should be right-centered. This makes the chat aligned, and easier to read IMO. Just like X-chat does it.
• Move consoles up under the servernames. Its currently a waste of space, and makes the server/chat list cluttered to look at.
• An option to move the userlist below the serverlist.
• Being able to reorganise servers in the list, ie. move them up and down.
• When closing/opening the application, collapsed servers in the list should stay collapsed.
• When tabbing through chatrooms using command-arrows, it would be nice if Linkinus didnt remove any ’X new messages’ badges, unless you’ve actually viewed the channel for more than 1-2 seconds. This way you can quickly go to an important chatroom, while ’jumping’ over others, not reading their contents right away.
• If no channels/consoles are selected and you press command-up arrow, nothing happens. It should select the last channel in the list. (Command-down arrow selects the first channel as it should)

Edit:
• An option to turn of any sentence starting with a # character, is hyperlinked/clickable.

Edit 2:
• Upon waking the computer up from sleep, Linkinus shouldn't log onto channels that it wasnt connected to before sleep.

I think the aligning of nicknames and messages can be done with a style. While i agree with you on those things, I'd rather have performance improvements... being in busy chatrooms makes Linkinus use almost 100% CPU... Not cool ;-)

Hi I would like to add a little things : - following nick change in query/private (I talk with toto, he changes to titi, my pv still try to send message to toto, and I have to check the new name by myself)

1. <HR> (horizontal rule) that applies when you switch tabs and marks the place you last switched out of the tab so you can remember where you stopped reading (must have to be in channel for a certain amount of time so cmd up-arrow doesn't disrupt)

2. Option to have /away xxxx change your name to nick|xxxx instead of nick|away

I hope to add to this list after time but for now,

Allow nick completion by last spoke order and last spoke order ops first, A - Z order

Have a connection window so you dont have to auto connect but it makes it easier to manage. Cause I like to have several profiles to connect to the networks.

Create a way to back-up setting. Recently I restarted my computer after setting up my entire client after buying it and lost everything I did. It I had settings saved it would saved me the 45 min of set-up

Allow to Color Nicknames by Rank as in userlist

Pull current pages from firefox for easy linking.

Allow to customize sounds by network/channel

Allow to save logs by date instead of lines

Create ability to add quick Kick, Ban buttons in sidebar

Oh, one more thing, for tabcomplete, let punctuation , ! ? . : function as a space instead of inserting itself into the nick. None of these characters can be used in nicks anways, right?

(Consumer Stuff)
On Nick Auto complete, if you do : after tab it should enter the name auto completed with a colon after it.

Option to have the Power Sorted Nicklist go by Nick Power, as in if an IRCop has only vop they would still be at the bottom of the list (really helpful for someone like me starting networks and such.)

(Dev Stuff)
Option to automaticly send crash reports to Conceited when linkinus or linkinus agent crashes

Automatticly Send a Popup to user when linkinus agent crashes saying that linkinus must be restarted, or sometype of watchdog process watching linkinus agent, when it times out after a request it kills the process and starts a new one, also teling linkinus to connect to the new process

SDK being automatticly installed if you have the xcode developer kit installed

better documentation on the sdk would be very helpful

linkinus agent not being so buggy, maybe a debug mode pref so that someone like me maybe could send some useful crash reports instead of the crap os x tells you (I know as a dev myself you have to spend more time sorting through the dang crash report than it takes to fix the bug sometimes.)
