I don't know how to explain this, so I'm gonna give you an image of my problem, please take a look here:

    http://widget.slide.com/rdr/1/1/1/W/400000022bf21ea/1/29/POlQIz1azz_HfLkw0zrCytbwzkMkdJab.jpg
This image is rather small but I think you'll understand what I mean.

This happens a lot, and I don't even know what triggers it. The vertical line between the nickname on the left and the message list seems to go in the middle of the screen. Is it because I am using a trial version? Oh and the Update thing seems to be not working as well.

I have tried to use other themes but the problem persists. Please help.

Which version of Webkit (Safari) do you have installed?

I have Safari version 3.2.1 (latest). You see the problem didn't just like that when I opened the app. It was okay every time I opened Linkinus, but after several minutes (or so), the line just goes to the center. I have a bigger image here on my computer but I don't know where to put it on the web. Does this happen to everyone else or is it just me? I really love the app and thought about buying it, but this problem irritates me a lot.

OK, I have uploaded it, here is the bigger image:

There is someone in the channel (upper part) who has a very long nickname. The issue is possibly related to this.

I thought about it at first, but this thing also happens in a channel where I am the only one in there. So I really don't think that's it. Does anybody else have this kind of problem?

Besides, if having a long nickname is what triggers it, it should still be like that when I rejoin that particular channel, but it wasn't like that at all. Dal.net also limits the length of any given nick, and I don't think it can really go that long.

After I rejoined that channel, things when back to normal. Then after a couple of minutes, this damn thing happened again.

Right now I am so confused LOL. I really like this app alot, lucky I tried the demo first.

You could try /debug html before and after this happened and compare both outputs. Other than that, do you have any Plugins, not necessarily Safari ones, that might meddle with Webkit?

I don't think I have many plugins. The only thing I have so far (for the Safari) is Inquisitor X, but I don't think it can meddle with Linkinus for this thing also happened before I had that plugin.

God I wish I understand how to /debug thing. I am new to Mac, I just bought it 2 months ago and I have never used a mac before. I'm rather a beginner. Actually what does safari have to do with Linkinus? I was just wondering.

Um there is one thing you haven't answered, does this problem happen to anybody else? To you perhaps?

    Thanks.

When you update Safari you automatically update Webkit as well. Linkinus utilizes Webkit to render the content - it's plain html flavored with CSS and JS. That means anything that meddles with Safari might also affect other applications using Webkit.

No, this is actually the first time I have heard of this issue.

Did you try to completely remove and reinstall Linkinus already? Removing all plists and support files + the app?

Well I just took every update that Safari gave all this time, and I have no idea about webkit. I have already removed and reinstalled Linkinus (and all related files) even before my first posting in this forum. I totally do not know what causes this. Do you know anything else I should do? / how to fix this? I am so confused.

Could you create a guest (or 2nd account) on your mac and install Linkinus there and see whether the problem persist?

I think I know where the problem is. I think it is all because of the APT theme. I tried using the "Simplified" theme just now and it went a.o.k. That's a little weird, because I used to changed themes a lot before and it still happened. But now, it's been half an hour and the vertical line is still at where it's supposed to be.

This what happens when I pick the apt theme (just incase you want to see it one more time, because the links I gave you before had small image):

Maybe someone needs to fix the "apt" theme. I haven't tried other than the "Simplified" though.
    Thanks.

Could you submit your version of the APT theme along with a description of the problem here, please?

    http://manage.conceitedsoftware.com/conceited-submit

~/Library/Application Support/Linkinus/Styles/ is the file location.

It seems that I can't send the whole "Apt.InkStyle" file. I don't know why but every time I click "Choose File" on http://manage.conceitedsoftware.com/conceited-submit , that file is greyed out. In fact all files in that folder (~/Library/Application Support/Linkinus/Styles/) are greyed out.

Do you mean I have to open the "Package Contents" (Right-click > Show Package Contents) of the Apt.InkStyle, and send whatever inside?

No, just compress it as a zip and try that.
