Hi,
I really like linkinus but one thing I hate is its menubar icon.
I made a replacement icon but linkinus doesn't accept it.

Why isn't linkinus accepting the icons?

Try replacing the following 3 files in the Linkinus Agent.app :
Linkinus_small_high.png
Linkinus_small_new.png
Linkinus_small.png

They are located in /Applications/Linkinus.app/Contents/MacOS/Linkinus Agent.app/Contents/Resources/

Those where the images I replaced, but it still finds the old ones somewhere.

Yeah, because it loads the Linkinus Agent.app from:
~/Library/Application Support/Linkinus 2/Linkinus Agent.app/Contents/Resources/

Thanks for the help,
I replaced the icons in ~/Library/Application Support/Linkinus 2/Linkinus Agent.app/Contents/Resources/ and now it works. :)

Yes, you can disable that: Go to Linkinus Preferences -> General and toggle the appropriate checkbox.
