With a request, I decided to make a more traditional style using brackets like XChat and mirc. Easy to copy & paste.

That's excellent, just wanted I wanted - nice, plain and simple.
Thanks a lot!
PS: How do I have nick names show on all lines? Example:
<cheef> hello
how are you?
I'd prefer:
<cheef> hello
<cheef> how are you?
Uncheck "group consecutive messages" in Styles preferences
Thanks! This style takes a LOT of the "Oh ick" reaction I had to 2.0 and it's too swish styles.
Thanks _banana.
Looks pretty awesome, I'm glad that it's not exactly like mIRC or something and retains a bit of Mac/Linkinus' style. I actually re-upgraded to 2.0 because of your style, since I was wise enough to not delete my old app.
I would recommend a more striking visual indicator of which chat I'm focused in when I've got several channels onscreen using the grouping function of Linkinus, though. The whole "fade to black" thing was actually pretty neat, despite how much I disliked the other styles.
Looks great! :)
Lots of updates here. Please re-download.

Added indenting for second line if message wraps
Fixed jumping around when "starring" messages
Changed highlight style for both starred message and nick highlights
Topic bar is now partially transparent
Topic bar hovers like other new styles
Timestamp is re-done to make it easier to read
+ Other stuff
Copying and pasting a line looks like this:
[12:58 AM] <_banana> This is a test
[12:58 AM] <_banana> This is another test
I love this style. Only thing I'd love even more is if the same style had a dark option (like my IRC to be dark) but other than that this is pretty much what I'm looking for. Great job man
Looks great!
Question though: Is there a way to keep it from autoformatting certain text? For example, *textgoeshere* comes out bold and /textgoeshere/ comes out italicized. Is there anyway to disable that?
That is due to the SimpleFormat plugin (which is tied to your IRC colors setting).
@_banana: If you'd like for your style to be bundled with Linkinus, let me know by email and I'll make sure it's included
